Ombretta

Profound connoisseur of the artistic process, graduated in Performing Arts and Cultural Management in 1997, she has been participating in the conception and management of several International projects in the domain of Arts, worldwide (1998-2004), including the creation and running of an Intercultural bookbar in Rome, Italy between 2005 and 2009. Based in Brussels, as of 2011, she is a frequent visitor of West Africa, for personal interest (music and dance) and family reasons (she is also a national of Burkina Faso). She has been managing and guiding Zouratié Koné’s musical activities since he has been resident in Belgium.

Griot. His origins (Mali-Burkina Faso) are from the Bwaba ethnic group, well known for its art talents.
Born in Bobo Dioulasso (Burkina Faso), he is strongly linked to his roots.
Well affirmed artist in Belgium, too: in 2013 joined the Afro Jazz ensemble Afrïkan Protokol.

Production and Management of a “diverse” method of learning and teaching

An Afro Jazz Mandingo project, from which “Waati” was born with Toine Thys.

A project mixing electro and Mandingo music. “Sogni” is the first result of it, with the Mexican Sony Music’ sub label, Orianna, out soon through Tribe Records.

The result is the new single’s video Ida Andawa, and a concert, on mid of June 21 in Brussels.

Songwriting camp powered by Sabam X Zouratié, (music session held at the Mieruba, label and cultural centre situated in Mali, Ségou) and making of the video of the ngoni duo by Zouratié and the malian Griot, Kandiafa.

A new version of the ZKE! Zouratié Koné Ensemble has been presented on August 13 at the Music Village, an important jazz club in Brussels.
